We are all different and have developed unique personalities over the years. We have gone through different experiences in life and these have in no small measure contributed to the personality we possess today. These experiences have had influences on how we think, talk and live. They also determine to a large extent to the choice of business, career, relationships we are in today. Each individual has his own unique characteristics, attributes and attitudes that make them who they are today.

I cannot write about personality types without making reference to the work done by Katherine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers who developed the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator that helps in the identification of individual personality types. Their work was based on the theory propounded by Carl Jung that there are four principal psychological functions - sensation, intuition, feeling and thinking- through which human beings feel the world and it emphasized that one of these is dominant for an individual most of the time.
